I've been shooting birthday parties in Cape Town since 2005. Milestone birthdays mostly,  40ths, 50ths, 60ths,  where the photos actually matter. My approach is the same as everything else I shoot. I blend in, stay out of the way, and capture what's actually happening rather than staging it. The speeches, the laughter, the moments people don't know are being photographed. Those are the ones worth keeping. I'm relaxed to have around. People tend to forget I'm there, which is exactly the point.

Pricing:

• Weekends - Starting at R6000 - 3 hours 
• Weekdays - Starting at R4000 - 2 hours **Excludes Public Holidays

How long is the birthday shoot?
I typically shoot for around 3 - 4 hours, but this can be adjusted based on your needs.

Travel
For venues located more than 15 km from Cape Town, there is a travel fee of R5.50 per km. Venues over 100 km from Cape Town require accommodation in the immediate area.

How I Work

I typically arrive early to capture the venue setup, décor, and behind-the-scenes moments, setting the tone for the celebration. If a family shoot is booked, we’ll begin once everyone is ready.
