Preparing Your Property for the Shoot

A little preparation makes a big difference to the finished photographs.

Clean and declutter
Make sure rooms are clean and tidy, and remove unnecessary personal items, cables, bins and clutter from visible surfaces.

Prepare bedrooms and bathrooms
Beds should be neatly made, towels arranged and toiletries kept to a minimum. Small details are surprisingly noticeable in photographs.

Clean windows and reflective surfaces
Clean windows, mirrors and glass surfaces wherever possible. Marks and streaks become particularly noticeable when photographed in strong light.

Open curtains and blinds
Natural light helps spaces feel bright and welcoming. I'll adjust curtains, blinds and lighting during the shoot where necessary.

Style the property
Small touches such as cushions, flowers, neatly arranged outdoor furniture or a prepared dining table can help make the property feel inviting, but avoid over-styling.

Have the property ready when I arrive
Ideally, the property should be completely prepared before the shoot begins. This gives me more time to concentrate on creating the photographs rather than moving or arranging items.

Most properties can be photographed comfortably within one to two hours. Larger properties or homes with extensive exterior areas may take longer.

Do you photograph both interiors and exteriors?

Yes. The standard package includes both interior and exterior photographs where applicable, including gardens, balconies, courtyards, pools and views that are important to the listing.

Do you use HDR photography?

Yes, where appropriate. I blend multiple exposures to retain detail in bright windows and darker interior areas while keeping the finished photographs natural and realistic.

How should I prepare my property?

The property should be clean, decluttered and completely ready to photograph when I arrive. Beds should be made, bathrooms prepared and unnecessary personal items removed.

Where do you offer Airbnb photography?
